I love the US. As a mater of fact coming to the US was the best thing that could actually happen to me.
However with the that being said. It was the most difficult and hardest point in my life.
The opportunity to live, get all my medical treatments that I needed and go back home, who wouldn’t except that.
America, oh great America. I remember it being a mystical place when I use to hear about it
I must of been a little over 10 years of age when some of the boys at the orphanage were gathered together in the the dinning room where we all ate together.
Did you hear,? I heard one say, about the little girl that went to America? The words were foreign to me as if America was a distant planet where little boys and girls were always wanting to go. As they all huddled together at the table I slid in and listened.
The environment was filled with excitement as they all took turm discussion this so called distant wonderland to each other.
I remember cutting in and placing a few question, how did she get there? What Is America like?
of course I had no real answers, I remembered one boys say nobody has ever seen it, it’s has super heros there.
They all have superpowers. Spiderman, wonder woman, aqua man, as well as superman.
that’s the moment I imagined all the shows I watched becoming g something of a reality to me.
I couldn’t wait to talk to Manuel about it. You see Manuel had a medical condition also. He walked with a heavy limp. One of his legs was shorter than the other. He was made of a lot by it, but no matter that was my best friend.
